Pathfinder Campus Coaching, doing business as Pathfinder Campus (“Pathfinder Campus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the website pathfindercampus.ca, including our Career Compass weekly blog series, the Pathfinder Campus Coaching Guild membership community, and the Pathfinder Campus Bookstore (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Pathfinder Campus Coaching, doing business as Pathfinder Campus, is a career development and coaching service based in British Columbia, Canada. Our website address is https://pathfindercampus.ca. You can reach us at info@pathfindercampus.ca or 13275 Waverly Place, Surrey, BC, V3V 6Z3.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Subscriber and account information. When you subscribe to Career Compass — our weekly blog series, which includes related videos and toolkits — or create an account on our site, we collect your name and email address.

Guild membership information. Access to our home page, Coaches tab which included our About page, the Career Compass tab with limited access, Coming Events, some Resources under our Resources tab and our Price List is free and available for public viewing. Viewers can access most restricted pages by simply joining as Freemium Members and can join the Pathfinder Campus Coaching Guild membership category for free to gain access to our weekly group coaching program and introductory material related to building a coaching culture. When you join the Guild, we collect the information needed to grant you that access, along with any profile information you choose to add (such as a bio or photo).

Purchase information. When you buy a course, toolkit, or coaching package through our Pathfinder Campus Bookstore, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and order details. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and are not stored on our servers.

Community activity. Within the Pathfinder Campus Coaching Community areas (powered by FluentCommunity), we collect the posts, comments, messages, and reactions you submit, along with your participation and progress in coaching sessions and course modules.

Contact form submissions. If you use our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Email communications. If you subscribe to our newsletter, sign up for a free resource, or register for a session, we collect your email address to send you related updates through our email platform (FluentCRM). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests immediately, in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Meeting and session data. Weekly coaching sessions are hosted via Zoom. If you join a session, Zoom’s own privacy policy governs data collected during the call (such as your display name and, if recorded, audio/video). We do not separately store recordings unless explicitly stated for a specific program.

Technical and usage information. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URLs. We use this information to maintain site security and understand aggregate usage patterns.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the Services may not function properly without them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including your account, coaching sessions, and course content;
  • Process purchases and send order confirmations and receipts;
  • Send you emails you’ve opted into, including session invitations, course updates, and coaching content;
  • Respond to questions submitted through our Contact form;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our website and community;
  • Understand how our Services are used so we can improve them;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate the Services, including:

  • Our website hosting provider, to run pathfindercampus.ca;
  • FluentCRM and FluentCommunity, for email communications and community/membership features;
  • Stripe, to process purchases;
  • Zoom, to host live coaching sessions;
  • YouTube, to host and stream video content embedded on our site.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you.

5. Our LinkedIn Company Page

Pathfinder Campus Coaching maintains a LinkedIn Company Page and may use LinkedIn’s tools to schedule and publish posts to that page. We do not collect or store personal information about individual LinkedIn users through this integration — it is used solely to publish our own content to our own company page.

6. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites (such as LinkedIn or YouTube). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.

Specifically, we retain data for the following periods:

  • Contact form entries: 12 months;
  • Analytics records: 24 months;
  • Customer and course records: up to 7 years (for business and educational record-keeping purposes).

8. Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website and our LinkedIn Company Page, so we can improve our content and services. These currently include:

  • Google Analytics, which may collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and time spent on pages. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, and can review Google’s Privacy Policy for more detail.
  • WordPress site analytics, which provide aggregate statistics on page views and site traffic.
  • LinkedIn analytics, which provide aggregate engagement statistics (such as views, reactions, and follower counts) for our Pathfinder Campus Coaching Company Page. This does not identify individual LinkedIn members to us.

These tools provide us with aggregate insights and do not give us the ability to identify you individually, beyond what is described elsewhere in this policy.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time (via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us directly);
  • Ask questions about how your information is used.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@pathfindercampus.ca. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, consistent with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults pursuing career development and coaching. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including secure (HTTPS) connections and SSL encryption, password protection and two-factor authentication for administrator access, and regular software updates and security monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Data Breach Procedures

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users promptly and take mitigation steps in accordance with PIPEDA guidelines.

13. International Visitors

Our Services are operated from Canada. If you access the Services from outside Canada, your information will be processed in Canada and possibly in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
